ChickenSouth Indian Chicken Curry Recipe|Chicken Gravy by adminDecember 30, 2018March 15, 20191168 South Indian Chicken Curry Recipe|Chicken Gravy admin South Indian Chicken Curry Recipe|Chicken Gravy Print This Serves: 4-5 Prep Time: 10 Mins Cooking Time: 25 Mins Nutrition facts: calories fat Rating: 5.0/5 ( 5 voted ) Ingredients 1 kg of chicken pieces 1/4 cup oil 1/4 cup ghee 2 stick cinnamon 1 large onion sliced fine 1 tbls ginger garlic paste 1 tbls lemon juice 4 whole elachi Bay leaves 1 tsp whole jeera 1 tsp salt 1 tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp chilli powder 2 tsp garam masala 2 tsp Coriander Powder 1 tsp chicken spice 3 medium potatoes cut up 2 medium tomatoes grated 2 tbls tomato puree 1 tsp chilli powder Freshly chopped dhania and green chillies for garnish Instructions Heat the oil and ghee or oil in a pot. Add the dry spice of cinnamon, cardamon, cloves and saute for 1 minute. Add the onions and fry till golden brown and add the ginger & garlic paste and saute for 1 or 2 minutes. Add the mashed tomatoes saute 1 or 2 minutes then add turmeric, coriander, cumin, garam Masala, and chilli powder. Stir well Add the chicken and potatoes. Allow braising on high heat for about 10 -15 minutes. Add enough boiling water for gravy and cook till done. Garnish with dhania and green chillies. Serve with Rice, Chapathi.
